Brunch Obsession

Who doesn't love brunch? I know it may seem like a recent fad, but let's be real--the concept of sleeping in and having your first meal be a huge, colorful, delicious combination of breakfast and lunch sounds DELIGHTFUL to all people. Whether you attend brunch lazily in your pjs or get dressed up, I find that most women especially enjoy brunch. Pretty much any party on my dorm floor this past year became a brunch celebration. I know several couples who have had brunch weddings (a cute and tasty trend). Therefore, when it came to my birthday last week, I turned the party into a little brunch. Aaaaaand when I had a girls lunch soon after that too became brunch.

BRUNCH ON! But, seriously, consider something like a crepes for your next party. Everyone can pick their own toppings and be happy :) And it made party clean up a lot easier.

What weirdos...I love them

My first try at homemade crepes! Super easy to make

And then I ended up having a brunch date with my darling dear Julia just today :) She will be featured in a post very soon because she's honestly going to be the next Meryl Streep...and she does it with STYLE.

She is the sweetest girl!!

The only problem was that the local place we went to ended up being closed...it didn't go over well with Julia....we were starving.

BUT luckily she works at another wonderful local place, The Cafe. Our bellies got a brunch party!!

Show someone special some love and take them to/make them brunch this week :)

New Day

It's pretty scary sharing your life with the world. I already feel nervous whenever I perform my music because I'm very publicly spouting off my thoughts and experiences. However, this summer there are so many people who I love that are scattered all over the country/world. So why not document some of my life to share with them?

So here's to a new day :)

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays.
